When we launched the first version of the Strada in 2017, we set out on a journey into the future. At the time, no road bike was designed and built the same way: an aerodynamic frame shaped around wide tires, the option of 1x drivetrains, and modern geometry and forms built for performance as well as handling and comfort.

Today, the 3T Strada has evolved into the ITALIA and ITALIA X versions, built in Italy at our Presezzo facility using proprietary technologies such as Filament Winding and RTM from dry carbon fiber tow.

ITALIA and ITALIA X

Since 2018, we have brought carbon frame production back to Italy, restarting manufacturing at our Presezzo facility, where we now produce a complete range of high-performance carbon frames and bicycles. We offer these bikes in two versions: ITALIA and ITALIA X.

In Italy, we go from design through production. From limited editions to full-series models. From gravel to road, built for racing and adventure. Driven by passion, we build the bikes of the future.

ITALIA X

The aesthetic quality of our carbon is so refined that for ITALIA X bikes we decided to offer them in three special naked version.

A thin layer of transparent coating protects the surface while revealing
the unique texture of the carbon fiber underneath. The result is a finish that is both minimal and performance-driven, celebrating the material itself.

IT ALL STARTS WITH THE TIRES

On the road, modern wide tires offer greater control and comfort. The larger volume of air inside the tire absorbs impacts and vibrations from road surface irregularities, while also reducing rolling resistance thanks to a rounder contact patch that requires less carcass deformation — improving rolling efficiency, handling, and overall performance as a result.

A bike's aerodynamics and handling are directly influenced by rim shape and tire width. Frame and wheels work together as a single system engineered to guide airflow as the bike moves forward.

To design the frame around wheels and tires while maximizing aerodynamics, you need to start from real-world measurements. Tire shape and width depend on a combination of factors, including rim width, inflation pressure, and not least how closely the tire conforms to the dimensions stated by the manufacturer.

We call these real-world measurements WAM – Width Actual Measurement and RAM – Radius Actual Measurement .

Strada Italia was designed specifically for tires with a WAM measured width between 28 and 35 mm.

COMFORTABLE FIT TO MAXIMIZE PERFORMANCE

Without comfort, power suffers and an aerodynamic position is not possible. That’s why achieving the ideal fit enables all of us to maximize performance:

Riders will benefit from new Stack & Reach figures to balance comfort with an aerodynamic position.
Cockpit adjustability - the shape and angle of the handlebar can be as personal and individual as choosing a saddle. It can have a significant impact on how your bike fits and therefore the comfort and performance when your ride. By using an integrated yet 2-piece carbon stem & bar, riders can pick the 3T integrale handlebar size and shape of their choice and adjust the angle according to their needs.

Moreover, 3T MORE Integrale Technology in combination with 3T bars allows for:

Small height adjustments without disconnecting or resizing the brake hoses.
Swapping MORE Integrale stem lengths without needing to disconnect and bleed the brake hoses.
Should your ride take you far from home, the MORE stem can be removed completely for travel without the need to disconnect the brake hoses.

REALFAST AERODYNAMICS

Aerodynamics is in our DNA. Our history and the design of every product we make speak to that. We don't approach aerodynamics only in theory, factoring in top achievable speeds — we're focused above all on real-world conditions. That's why we run wind tunnel tests at 30 mph (48 km/h), but also at 20 mph (32 km/h). We test our bikes with bottles and other accessories in everyday use, and we're proud that the aerodynamic solutions developed for the Strada range sparked a trend followed by bike makers worldwide. We've always designed for comfort and speed in real-world riding conditions.

The front of the bike is the first part to meet the air as it moves forward, making it a critical zone from an aerodynamic standpoint.
The modern frame design encloses the steerer in a solid structure with large side surfaces, an aerodynamic leading edge, and a clean cutoff at the rear. All cables are hidden from the wind and integrated into the Uno GHIAIA or Uno FLUX handlebar.
The Fundi Integrale II fork was developed with slim, asymmetric blades to deliver optimal stiffness while ensuring the best aerodynamic performance, light weight, and excellent brake system integration.
The wide downtube is designed to work together with the fork and modern, wide wheels. It's shaped with a narrow neck and an extra-large lower section to deliver stiffness where needed and shield bottles from the wind.
The rear of the frame features a curved seat tube and a rear end designed to deliver comfort and the best available aerodynamic package when paired with wide, high-profile wheels.

3T GEOMETRY TO ENHANCE PERFORMANCE

The geometry of 3T's road bikes is built on two core principles: fit customization and handling.

A rider's need to find an aerodynamic position that's both efficient and sustainable over hours in the saddle is the starting point for any kind of fit customization. The new stack and reach figures on the Strada ITALIA and ITALIA X make an efficient, natural riding position easy to achieve.

Handling is ensured not only by the geometry and wide tires, but also by the special construction from dry carbon fiber tow and the Fundi Integrale II fork, which integrates seamlessly with the frame design. Fork offset varies between 50 and 61 mm depending on frame size, ensuring predictable, precise steering as well as stability and control on descents.

design in details

MINIMALIST CROWN:

Instead of a bulky, un-aero crown, we minimize its size. This improves the crown’s aerodynamics and moves the front wheel closer to the downtube, creating a perfect transition for the airflow.

SQAERO FORK LEGS:

Deep and thin fork blades with great brake integration & asymmetric profiles. Sqaero fork airfoil only has a small truncation, perfect to guide the airflow around the front wheel and boost fork stiffness.

NARROW & DEEP HEADTUBE:

Narrow is aero. Deep guides the airflow. All cables inside.

BIG STEERER:

Inside the narrow headtube is a steerer with a large 1.5” lower section for best strength and stiffness.

3T MINMAX INTEGRALE HEADSET:

To fit this big 1.5" steerer inside the narrow headtube cups, we use custom ultra-sleek high-load headset (IS42/34 | IS47/38-36deg)

MIND THE GAP:

The downtube closely follows the front wheel for better airflow transition and less turbulence.

DOWNTUBE WITH NARROW NECK AND EXTRA WIDE BODY:

Shields the bottles and cleans up the airflow mess as it passes over the front wheel for a complete aerodynamic system.

BB AREA SHAPE:

The BB shape enhances reactivity other than helping on improving aerodynamic efficiency.

DEEP UPPER SEATTUBE & SEATPOST:

Deep and super sleek profiles for better aerodynamics.

MAXIMIZED CURVED CUT-OUT:

The curved seattube covers more of the rear wheel giving an aero advantage while also providing extra comfort (vertical compliance).

SUPER AERO SEAT STAY & SEAT TUBE JUNCTION:

designed to guide the airflow while helping with pedaling efficiency and compliance.

SELF-ALIGNING WEDGE CLAMP WITH AERO COVER:

Safety and simplicity hidden inside for the best possible aero.

TIRE CLEARANCE:

Fits tires up to 35mm WAM and 347mm RAM, while keeping 4mm between any frame part and tire.

DIRECT-MOUNT FRONT BRAKE:

Standard forks require a flip-flop adaptor to set the correct brake rotor size. Our direct-mount pre-sets the caliper for 160mm rotors without any extra pieces.

DIRECT-MOUNT REAR BRAKE:

Standard frames require an adaptor to use a 160mm brake rotor. We have integrated that into the frame, meaning you don’t need any extra pieces to attach the brake.
