A Racemax Italia EVO on display—and up for grabs—just before you board your next flight.
If you’re flying out of Orio al Serio Airport in the coming months, keep your eyes open: just before boarding, at the end of the corridor that leads to the gates, you’ll spot something unexpected. Inside a custom-built glass case sits a stunning 3T Racemax Italia EVO—equipped with a SRAM RED 1x13 groupset and handmade in Bergamo.
And it’s not just there to be admired.
The teca (Italian for “display case”) is more than a showcase of Italian craft and performance—it’s an invitation. An invitation to discover the bike, to dream about new gravel adventures, and to actually win the Racemax Italia EVO that’s inside.
Located just outside our hometown of Bergamo, Orio al Serio Airport is one of Italy’s busiest, with over 8 million passengers departing annually. But what truly sets it apart is its bike-friendly spirit: a dedicated bike room for travelers with bicycles, a safe and direct cycling route into the city, and a long-standing support for local cycling culture. The airport has even been the title sponsor of GF BGY—the most important granfondo in the area—for years.
That made Orio the perfect place to launch something special. A physical expression of what 3T stands for—performance, design, and a deep connection to our territory. The message written on the case says it all: “This bike is made in Bergamo. Make it your gateway to gravel.”
The Racemax Italia EVO on display isn’t just a piece of eye candy—it’s the grand prize in a giveaway open to all airport passengers. By scanning the QR code on the case, travelers can enter the contest. One lucky winner will ride away with the same model as the one on display: fast on tarmac, unstoppable on gravel, and made in Italy.
And even if you don’t win the bike, there’s more to hope for: 3T wheels, Torno cranksets, and exclusive 3T merchandise are also up for grabs.
The case will remain at the airport through the end of the year, giving travelers six full months to join the contest. And there’s one more thing: we’d love to see your shots. If you spot the display, take a photo and tag @3tbike on Instagram. We’ll be reposting our favorites.
So next time you're flying through Orio al Serio, take a moment before boarding. Your gateway to gravel might just start at the gate.
This project wouldn’t have been possible without the support of some exceptional local partners. The structure, combining wood and metal elements, was crafted by Vontree, while the large glass panels were made by Vetreria Mazzotti. The visual concept and graphics were developed by Poliedrostudio, and the dedicated contest webpage was built by NuovaDOT. A true team effort—rooted in Bergamo, just like the bike on display.
