It seems like only a few days since we took down the tent for the last time at the inaugural BCBR Gravel Explorer. But preparations are already getting underway to head back to the Okanogan for another year of epic climbs and challenging singletrack that push the boundaries of what we call “gravel”.
The 2021 edition was a taster or aperitif if you will of what’s to come for 2022. This year’s event took place under some of the most interesting circumstances possible. Despite the hurdles, everyone who had the chance to pin on a number finished the week with new friends and an abundance of great memories.
The 2022 edition will once again take place just as the leaves begin to turn in Okanogan valley. The nights are cool and the days are warm, creating ideal riding conditions in late September.
While the details of the parcour are still TBD riders can be sure you’ll have a mix of epic gravel and tarmac climbs, singletrack that pushes your technical abilities to the max, and views that equal anything you’ll see across the globe.
Spots are limited but we hope to see as many members of the 3T family at the race as possible. For supporters and family members, you couldn’t pick a better place to race either. There are more wineries than you can shake a stick at and Lake Okanogan is a watersports heaven for SUP fans and kayakers alike.
